Our recent trip to Charleston has got us a little fixated on the city and the wonderful historic homes in it. This restored 19th century house isn’t in the historic district, but it’s super cute anyway, and someone’s done a very nice job restoring it.
Some people might have ripped out this tongue and groove panelling and replaced it with drywall or something else far less interesting – we’re glad they kept it in this house!
Move that barn door a few feet and surprise! There’s a compact washer and dryer tucked into this hallway.
This switchback stair with winders is just plain wonderful! There are a lot of colors and textures mixed in here, but they work.
There’s a lot of space in this kitchen dedicated to wine. We don’t have a problem with that.
As if we needed more reasons to visit Charleston!
