The 2018 Christmas season is over but we’re still in a bit of a daze over the awesome Las Vegas Christmas decorations we saw last week! That’s right – Las Vegas, Nevada – probably the last place most people think of at Christmas time.
But the big resorts on the Las Vegas strip have some incredibly-talented designers (and very deep pockets), and came up with world-class decorations this year! And they’re all really well-done, really classy themes, too – no cheesy Christmas dice, Christmas blackjack cards, or Christmas roulette wheels.
We took photos of a few of our favorites to share with you below.
The best of the best is at the Bellagio Conservatory, decorated this year in a “Majestic Holiday Magic” theme. If you go, the Conservatory is just beyond the registration lobby.
The Bellagio’s floral decorations fill the entire 14,000 square foot Conservatory.
Queen Bellisima’s enormous horse-drawn carriage – the horses are incredibly lifelike, especially considering that like all the other decorations, they’re made mostly from flowers.
Above, one of the Queen’s favorite polar bears – below Queen Bellisima herself makes an appearance.
And the centerpiece of the Bellagio’s awesome Christmas decorations is the tree, 42 feet tall, 18 feet in diameter, covered with wonderful Christmas ornaments and surrounded by flowers, presents, a train, and guarded by the Queen’s polar bears.
Here’s the center court of the Wynn Resort – all the trees are wrapped in lights, flower ornaments hang from everywhere, and a huge hot-air balloon, it’s basket full of gifts, is the center of attention.
Below, the Aria’s modern lobby is the perfect spot for a Christmas snowfall!
Finally, deeper within the Aria hotel is this amazing Christmas tree rising five stories high up into the atrium!
Hope you enjoyed our quick tour of the most awesome Christmas decorations in Las Vegas – maybe we’ll see you there next year!
Rich and Karen–just asking if you could help point us in the right direction. We have purchased an unoccupied and rundown house in Lusby, MD that is on a steep rise that has a tremendous view of the Chesapeake. Except for where the existing home is, the rest of the property is not buildable. Man have told us we should raise the roof and add a second story. The roof is in excellent shape, as are the exterior walls of the existing story. If we could identify a company that would bring in a crane to lift the roof, this would be the ideal house for it (structure is 52′ x 24′ ranch with no chimney, just a simple rectangular roof.) We are in zip code 20657. Where do we find “roof lifters” that do this either with a crane, or with hydraulics? We can’t find anyone who serves northern VA or southern MD. Are you aware of any proximate companies that do this? Apparently I promised my wife a home with a bay view when we both retire, which is in four years (I am 68, we still have two adopted children to get through college). Any contacts or advice we would welcome. We love your site. I am a disabled veteran, this will be my crowning achievement to my wife in this lifetime. Thank you.
Our sincerest apologies for not responding to you sooner – life gets in the way – we hope you’ve found the folks you need to raise your roof! And thank you for your service, sir!
